An Interesting Day

We were blessed to be two of seven that helped serve a family meal after a funeral/burial.  About 50 family members attended the meal.

Our pastor's wife prepared two large roaster pans of spaghetti/sauce.  The side dishes were brought in by other church members.

Glen and I enjoyed the time visiting with the rest of the crew from the time preparations started to when the family arrived.  Four ladies are bi-lingual.  Spanish is their first language with English second.  They speak to each other in Spanish but in very good English with us.  One lady described she and her husband as "migrant workers" in the north until he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Gary and Evelyn had a quiet day.  I think they sat outdoors most of the day enjoying the 88--yes,88---degrees.

Fred and Gay came over tonight at six for music and fellowship.  Gay brought a fruit pizza for dessert.  I told her there was only one word for the pizza...."yum-m-m-m-m!"
