Did you get "hit" by the storms that swept across the mid-section of the US last night?
Our son reports from Cape Girardeau MO that his neighborhood was hit was 70+mph swirly winds, maybe a tornado in the air that didn't touch down. Their house lost some shingles. Thankfully that is all. Plus rain all night and this morning.
Other homes/neighbors lost part to all of the shingles, vinyl fences blown down, swing sets turned and twisted, small trees pulled out of the ground, lots of debris on the ground.
I was just watching the CBS New York City station+weather reports. There was a few seconds of video from Poplar Bluff, MO (from where we retired).
It was windy here today. I saw one gust of 31 mph this morning. It was sunny all day. Presently (10:30) it is 50 degrees and no wind.
It was a good afternoon to play cards with Gary and Evelyn!
