As mentioned yesterday there was an 8 a.m. appointment to have the new motor installed on the front door steps.
We went to breakfast (at Cracker Barrell) and by the time we were back the installation was finished. Wow! It is nice to have steps that work. No more jumping out and climbing in.
We started through the western half of Indiana, into Illinois, going straight west. Guess what? there were no campgrounds available. We were going to stop in the Peoria area about 4:30, but couldn't find campground. We weren't in the mood to stay at Walmart parking lot. We just kept going west, and stopped in Hannibal, MO.
The campground is off of Highway 79, south of Hannibal. It is very wooded, but we were able to get satellite. Highway 79, south of here one more mile, is closed due to high water.
We are going to play "tourist" tomorrow as it has been 30 years since we have been here.
I just talked to my sister, who lives near Bagnell Dam/Lake of the Ozarks. Jan reports they have received 17 inches plus of rain in the past week.
