8-10-2013 Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn

I am not sure Tom and Huck would recognize their stomping grounds if they were around today.

There is a historic area in downtown Hannibal but the rest of Hannibal has moved to the west.

We drove to "Lover's Leap" which overlooks the Mississippi River and Hannibal, and across to Illinois.

Hannibal even has a lighthouse.

Here's the "Mark Twain" boat.  We enjoyed the dinner cruise at 6:30 this evening.

Here we are waiting to be served.  Glen chose baked chicken, I had roast beef tips; sides were pasta salad, greens salad, green beans, baked potato, rolls, and brownie for dessert.

It's the end of the day.

There was a great jazz band playing and singing during the cruise.
