June 8, 2014 On The Road--in the Pick-up (Bighorn Motel, Watson Lake, Yukon, Canada)

It was a long day--in hours and in miles.

We left at 9:00 a.m. and arrived in Watson Lake at 9:00 p.m. with one time zone change.  There was 692 miles on the trip odometer.

We saw LOTS of trees, some mountains covered with snow, beautiful streams and lakes.  Just another travel day in Canada.

What kept us entertained was the wildlife.  Here's the list...

a 10 bear day
buffalo
caribou
moose
stone sheep
snowshoe rabbits
Arctic fox
and a lynx.

The lynx crossed the road right in front of us.  It is a beautiful animal.

The rest of the caravan are in a campground right across from our motel room.  And what a room.

Notice the blue Jacuzzi and purple wall.
Notice the "floral comforter of many colors", and the blue wall, and the regular bedroom furniture.

I have several photos of the animals, but will wait for more powerful WI-FI to download them.
