Gary's mother suffered a stroke last week and has been in a hospital in Kansas City. After a couple of conflicting phone calls about her condition Gary and Evelyn left this morning to drive back to their home and to KC to check on Gary's mom.
They did leave the fifth wheel here so will return at some point in time.
Also leaving this morning was Jim and Cris, friends from Camdenton MO. Jim's home was flooded in the recent rains a month ago. They need to meet with insurance agents and FEMA representatives. They don't know how long they will need to be there. They, too, left their fifth wheel here.
It was a very enjoyable day. The high temperature was 90 according to our weather station, but there was 93 on the truck thermometer. As Jeff told someone "it is a dry heat!". We were outdoors until time to leave to go to the Jam Session.
This morning, Jeff, Marcella, Glen and I hiked through the prickly pear and mesquite trees to the edge of the lake. No wildlife sighted.
I must mention once again: the roof replacement project is finished. Hurray! Smiles!!!!
