At some point high school basketball was mentioned in a conversation.
Marcella and Jeff looked at a schedule and discovered there are two more home games.
Tonight Marcella/Jeff, Fred and Gay, and Glen and I watched the varsity girls and varsity boys Zapata Hawks games.
#24 Carissa Villareal on the girls' team is the daughter/granddaughter of members of our church. When we arrived the team was ahead 10 to 0. The team lost by ten points.
The boys' team also played, exchanging goals back and forth with the other team until the fourth quarter. Zapata Hawks also lost by 14 points.
The concession stand was NOT open. There were no popcorn or hotdogs or drinks. Two losses and no popcorn!
Since none of us had eaten supper expectng to have at least popcorn, we went to Dairy Queen!
Glen and I hadn't seen a high school basketball game in at least 15 years.
Gary's mother was moved to a local nursing home/manor this morning. She will be in physical therapy for a while.
