Breakfast was taken care of with a stop at the local "Stripes" convenience store. Take it from us, "Stripes" serves the best breakfast tacoes. The tortillas are homemade and then filled with your choice of fillings. Our choice: scrambled eggs and bacon. The cost? $
We headed directly to the "DonWes" Flea Market, located in the Donna/Weslaco area. If you can't find it there, you don't need it!LOL Except...I was looking for the vendor that last year sold glass fingernail files. They work wonderfully. But, he wasn't there this year.
Driving another ten miles to the"cheapest parking" at the border, $2 all day, we paid our 50cents to walk across the bridge to Nuevo Progreso. First stop was "The Red Snapper" restaurant.
Service there is FAST and the food is delicious. There is a vocalist singing requests for entertainment.
Jeff and Marcella shopped for cowgirl boots for Marcella (of course). She found a beautiful pair.
Glen enjoyed a pedicure and I enjoyed a manicure. Cost $10 each.
Today was EXTREME CLEANING! I with help from Glen and Jeff tackled the storage shed. Our church is hosting a rummage sale Saturday morning to benefit the Youth Department. It is amazing what was found to donate. Jeff and Marcella, and Gary and Evelyn also donated items.
We are going to work the opening shift Saturday morning at the rummage sale, starting at 7:30 a.m.
