The local Lutheran church held a "chili and soup" luncheon today. There was a choice of homemade chili or chicken 'n' noodles, with cole slaw, drink, and homemade dessert for $6 each.
I had chili and Glen had chicken n noodles. Both were exceptionally delicious.
We were home from the dinner in time to watch the second half of Mizzou basketball. It was a winner. It was a fun game to watch.
Late in the afternoon friends/neighbors Jim and Dee stopped to visit for an hour or so. We have a great neighborhood.
It was "movie night" at church this evening. We watched "Last Ounce of Courage" with Darrell Campbell as director/screenwriter. Darrell is the brother of our brother-in-law, got that? Glen and Evelyn's youngest sister, Mildred, is married to Doug, who is brother of Darrell.
It is a good movie with a powerful message. If you haven't seen it, we recommend it especially if you are 'proud to be an American", concerned about our (America) freedoms-or loss of, and aren't afraid to show your patriotism.
Weather: started cloudy and 62 degrees, sunshine this afternoon with temperature reaching 87 degrees.
Great to be outdoors.
