Hope you remembered to tell your sweetie how much you appreciate her/him!
Glen and Evelyn sang love songs to their sweeties sitting in the audience at this afternoon's jam session. I appreciated the songs and the sentiments and I am sure so do Gary!
It was a good Jam Session. The performers did exceptionally well. One of the musicians plays a trumpet. He accompanies the other musicians on familar songs! I would guesstimate his age to be 82? 83?. All of the musicians are a testament to keeping busy at something one enjoys.
I forgot to mention last evening that we are out of satellite service. No TV! It was working one second and the next the TV screen was black and no volume. The satellite receiver crashed.
We spent several minutes on the phone with a tech from Directv, verifying that it could not be revived. They are sending a new receiver via Fed Ex, delivery in two to four days.
Tonight was the regular six-handed pitch games. We sat in the Outdoor Living Space to play. It was quite comfortable until the last 30 minutes when the wind speed increased, making it feel cooler.
Chef Gary provided home-made lemon bars, made with fresh lemon juice from lemons just picked from the neighbor's tree. The bars were delicious!!!! Thanks, Gary.
Weather: sunny; 42/77 low and high for today.
