Wednesday: just double-checked with Glen on yesterday's activities. The floors were gritty and you could write your name on the window sills after Monday's wind storm.
We dusted; wiped all wood surfaces; vacuumed; took screens down, hosed, and re-installed; washed windows while screens were down; cleaned a/c vents. Are you tired yet? We were!
By the time we finished all that, the wind was blowing--again! I dusted the window sills again! Cleaning up from a dust storm is easier than cleaning up from a blizzard!
Gary and Evelyn received a series of calls that informed them of the unexpected death of a young-43 years-man with whom Gary had worked for several years. The co-op employee suffered an anuerism (I know this isn't spelled correctly but Spell Check isn't helping) and died at work. Gary had served as a mentor for him. It was heart breaking for Gary.
Thursday: the days of the weeks haven't been straight for me all week. This morning Glen and Evelyn were making music, talking about which songs they were choosing. I couldn't figure out why. Duh, it was afternoon Jam Session time!
Fred and Gay were at the Jam Session. All six of us met afterwards at the Catfish House for a late lunch. After a few errands while in town we came home. Fred and Gay arrived in 30-45 minutes for an evening of cards and conversation.
Tomorrow will be a busy day for the four of us! We are hosting 6 couples and two widow ladies from the neighborhood for an early dinner (4:30). More details tomorrow evening.
