Monday 7-15-2013 Putting the Pedal to the Metal (Elkhart Campground, Indiana)

We actually were leaving the rv park in Cape Girardeau at 7:27 this morning.

487 miles later we pulled into Elkhart Campground in Elkhart, Indiana.  Glen has been in contact with an rv painting company, Phoenix, about painting a portion of the mh.  Michelle from Phoenix was willing to come to the rv park to look at what Glen wanted done, and work up an estimate.

Michelle is going to call in the next couple of days with the estimate.

Glen remarked today that there should be no road construction companies without work.  There was at least 20 percent of the highway being worked on--and several more miles that needed repairing.

We found "The Great Wall" Chinese restaurant for dinner.  It was not a buffet, but order off the menu restaurant.  We each ordered a different entree.  I enjoyed the Mongolian Beef very much.
The next stop is about 3-4 hours north of here.

We plan on finding a couple of rv surplus stores and hopefully have time to tour the RV/MH Museum and Hall of Fame here in Elkhart before check-out time at noon.
