This afternoon we did drive down the coast of the Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet. The tide was coming in rapidly. We watched the Arm fill with muddy water. There were no birds around to watch.
We also stopped at Potter's Marsh, an area on the southwest of Anchorage. In our past visits there has been an abundance of water for numerous waterfowl and a moose or two. Today the water level has decreased and there were few birds.
I have read that Anchorage + area has not received normal precipitation the past year. It sure looked that way today.
This morning we made lots of calls, catching up with a few business items.
One thing we learned from the Cummins rep in Grande Prairie is all parts have arrived. That is great news. A mechanic has been assigned to the project to start next Monday. It should be put all together by a week from tomorrow.
We talked to Trisha several times today, getting lists made, reminders made, and plans to pick all six of them up tomorrow night.
Here's our home for the next two weeks. It has no slides, but ample room for just the two of us. This little baby Class C motorhome, 24 foot long, is allowing us to spend time with Trisha, Jeff, Landon, Brady, Natalie, and Tanner. We will make lots of memories.
