We learned more about Tacoma than we did Seattle; but that led to a walking and driving tour of downtown Tacoma.
We first walked to Union Station and near the Glass Museum which had several exhibits outdoors.
This depiction of a Native American is across the street of Union Station. Incidentally Union Station is now a Court house. No trains. |
Mr. Traveler was posing in front of Union Station. Glen is assisting with his bags. |
Union Station (obviously) |

Leaving there we drove along the waterfront in the downtown Tacoma area.
"Tacoma Narrows" Bridge |
What kind is this? Unusual. |
Upon returning to the motor home the camp host gave us directions to a coin-operated laundry. I must say this was the best laundry. It was new and clean, and clean; did I mention "new and clean." The prices were reasonable.
Evelyn and Marcella co-cooked a peach cobbler while we were gone. Another "yummy"--warm peach cobbler and ice cream.
