9/9/16 Friday ---Scenic Tour of San Francisco

We might not be leaving our heart in San Francisco, but we have enjoyed seeing it.
It was billed as the "49-Mile Scenic Drive".  Our drive was about  42-45 miles.  We missed a couple of turns, backtracked a couple of times, and didn't go a few miles.  But, we did see some areas of SF that we hadn't seen before.
This the Golden Gate Bridge about ten o'clock this morning.  Notice the lack of traffic and fog.
This is the western-most point in SF: Lands End Lookout.

Notice the silly people surfing.  Water temps about 57 degrees.  Wet  suits a must!

Unusual cliffs in the Lands End area.

One of two windmills built in 1903-1908 to pump well water for irrigation for the gardens in the area.
A foggy (it is always) view of San Francisco from Twin Peaks 910' above the city.

Lets go downhill!

Here we go, leaving the Twin Peaks area.

House boats with a view of AT&T Baseball Park.

AT&T Baseball Park

Lombard Street: "crookedest street in the world!"

SF: small craft marina

Going north out of SF: a bit more traffic than this morning

North end of GG Bridge, looking south
